KADCAM Enterprises has been manufacturing road-marking equipment since 1993. The first units built were of the ride-on style of striping machine, closely followed by the production of roadmarking trucks. In the process Kadcam Enterprises identified the need for a walk-behind machine with the same capabilities as a truck mounted striper. Using the expertise and experience available within the organisation, Kadcam developed and built the now-renowned Kadcam Cub. The self-propelled Kadcam Cub has become the signature model striper for Kadcam with its ability to outperform any ride on striping machine, and match the output of many truck mounted stripers. The extremely well balanced machine can be operated by either gender and can carry up to 100 litres of paint. The Kadcam Cub can be configured in a multitude of ways to meet customer requirements, which may include two-colour paint systems and the use of on-board control computers equal to any striping task. The technical superiority of the Kadcam Cub has made it possible to use the Cub for the application of spray plastics and the placement of cold applied plastics including audio-tactile markings. Kadcam was instrumental in introducing Cold Applied Plastic (CAP) into New Zealand and began producing leading CAP technology to apply audio tactile 'Profile' to smooth or coarse chip-seal roads. Kadcam's leading-edge technology is now used to adapt proprietary equipment from other manufacturers to apply other audio tactile and 'Structure' style road markings. Kadcam became a limited liability company in 1998 and began exporting equipment to Europe, China, Japan, the Pacific Islands and Australia. Kadcam is a major supplier meeting the demands of the New Zealand Road Striping Industry. Kadcam Enterprises is also the Australasian agent for the renowned Zehntner precision measuring instruments and equipment which is vital to quality assurance measurements for line striping.
